Full Setting and Details:

Setting: Neo-Duelist Academy Kingdom or N-DAK for short. Co-Funded by Industrial Illusions and the Kaiba Corporation, the project built a private university with a surrounding city on a remote island designed for students aiming for a career related to the field of Duel Monsters. It is designed like a rising mountain separated by levels with the academy at the very top level. There are a variety of fields and courses students are able to take and during their down time are allowed a number of activities and utilities. The main academy hosts students of high school age and also a junior division for students around middle-school age. The Headmaster is said to be the current reigning World Champion and rumored to have been undefeated in their entire dueling career.

Neo Duel Academy: The top-level of the island and main academy area. Top-funded by private corporation and ran by the Dean of the school, the academy boasts the top education and standards for duelists. Tuition is negligible and scholarships are given to students who show exemplary skills during the entrance exam.

  • The student council - Said to be the strongest student duelist, the student council run the school and stand at the top of everything.
  • D-ROTC - Duel Force - Reserved Officer Training Core. Students who pursue a career in duel law enforcement sign-up for the organization to receive basic education and training. Four years in the training corps guarantees an extra rank when applying to the Duel Police or Special Forces. The Student Council Disciplinary Comity Chairman is the top student officer and recruits the top cadets for the comity.
  • Riding Duel Team - The top entertainment sports team, the Academy Riding Duel Team teaches the fundamentals of piloting a duel vehicle and performing riding duels. The main academy students are able to use duel runners for official matches while the junior-division use duel boards. The captain of the Riding Duel Team is also the Public Relations Officer of the student council.
  • Duel Domes - With over twelve on campus, students can practice their dueling here with perfect ambiance.
  • Student dorms - Separated by boys and girls (don't go there) most students stay in the dormitory when not attending class and lectures. Dorm rooms are designed for two people with a corner stove area and a bathroom with toilet and shower.

Maltese Cross City: The city area of the island. Student have access to the town, however they are expected a bare minimum of responsibility as representatives of the academy. Disorderly conduct can result in immediate expulsion.

  • Residential District - Mostly made up of apartment complexes and condo units. Several local food markets and convenience stores make their place here as well.
  • Commercial District - Card shops, game stores, restaurants, arcades, bookstores, and various other establishments situate themselves on this middle level of the city.
  • Cloud District - Do you come here often? No, of course you don't. This district level right below the academy level is the location of various official buildings and corporations. This includes the Duel Officers HQ, city hall, and the Kaiba Corp satellite company building.

Duel Spirits: Some rare individuals are able to see the spirits of duel monsters. Duel spirits are even rarer. They most often exclusively reside in cards that receive great care and emotion from their duelists, and even fewer have actual presence outside of their cards. These mostly are exclusive to the rarest cards as well. Such existences act as silent companions to their duelists and provide support during ordeals. However they won't help to cheat or act dishonestly for their duelist.

  • It is rumored that many duel spirits can be found near the dean's office.

Number Cards: It is said that over 100 XYZ cards with powerful abilities are in the world. Possessing a card is believed to grant power to the beholder. It's uncertain what the origin of these cards are from.

Riding Duels: A special form of dueling where the participants duel while actively driving a duel vehicles. During a riding duel, the two duelists' duel vehicles automatically remain within a certain distance of one another. Duel Officers are especially well equipped to handle these circumstances.

Duel Officers: Don't ask why they're a thing, they just are. These officers are equipped to take down disorderly duelists and punish them to the fullest extent of the dueling law. If you're caught using an illegal card, you can get the chair.
